You may choose to direct your support to the Emergency Medicine Advancement Fund (EMAF) or CAEP’s COVID efforts. CAEP is a registered charity and all donations will receive a full tax receipt. The options on where to direct your donation are in the drop down menu below. Every day more than 43,000 children, youth, adults and the elderly visit an emergency department (ED) in Canada. Nearly everything that happens in the ED is a result of research. Every diagnosis made, every procedure and technique applied, every piece of equipment used is because of careful, evidence-based emergency medicine research. The Emergency Medicine Advancement Fund (EMAF) makes more and better research possible. You make more and better EM research possible when you donate to the EM Advancement Fund. As the national voice for emergency physicians, CAEP has been helping to inform government policy, holding virtual Town Halls and Grand Rounds so that physicians can connect and share the latest clinical information on COVID and emergency medicine. Funding for these efforts are needed as CAEP is a not-for-profit association. An unrestricted donation to CAEP will support the continued dissemination of clinical guidelines, advocacy efforts, and improving the COVID response in emergency medicine across Canada.
